Barbour Beaufort Jacket A150 C52/132CM XXL/XXXL Waxed Thornproof with Extended Sleeves for Big & Tall Vintage Dress Gordon matching Hood. The jacket was sent to Barbour last fall for reproofing, tear repairs, and to have new, extended, sleeves put on (as my arms were just too long for the standard sleeves, a common issue) The result, after significant cost, is a beautifully reproofed one-of-one jacket with some light patina, ready for you to add your own patina to. As you can see in the pictures, there is some slight variation between the new added fabric and the old fabric, though both have a beautiful color and finish and I think with the longer sleeves and color it makes this jacket truly special. This jacket is excellent for a Big & Tall Gentleman or Lady who is plagued by issues with the Barbour and other coats having short sleeves.

Unfortunately, I lost a lot of weight so the jacket is just too huge on me, even with a few layers underneath. It is simply too much to be taken in without altering the overall look of the coat, so I think it makes sense to pass the baton to a new owner instead of attempting to have the body altered which would significantly alter the pocket locations and accessibility. The jacket comes with a wired waxed cotton hood which originally came with the coat. I also have a warm snap-in pile liner available in a separate listing. "Pit to Pit" 28.25. "Pit to Cuff" 23.5. "Neck to Hem" 31.25. If helpful for sizing purposes, when this jacket "fit" it was still a bit loose, to allow room for heavy sweaters, layers underneath. I'd say this jacket is more of an XXXL than an XXL but it depends on your body type. This jacket is special, with the extended custom sleeves and its own patina, you wont find another barbour just like it. Even if you went and bought a brand new one, you may still need extended sleeves and wont have the lovely patina and made in England build quality of this era of Barbour.
